Paris Saint-Germain had one glaring weakness in their squad, which was left-back. The capital club eyed several targets such as AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez, but nothing resulted from those rumors.

There were reports over PSG’s interest in Sporting CP’s Nuno Mendes during the summer transfer window. On deadline day, the Ligue 1 side hit overdrive on their pursuit of Mendes, and as the discussions wrapped up quickly, they’ve announced the arrival of the 19-year-old.

According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, it will be a loan agreement with a €4-million fee and a €40-option option to buy.
