There are only a few days left until the summer transfer window closes, and Paris Saint-Germain wants to offload players who they deem expendable. One of the players the capital club would like to see depart is left-back Layvin Kurzawa.
Over the summer months, the 28-year-old has been linked to various clubs as the French giants look to sell the defender. The player’s wages and reluctance to join clubs like Galatasaray SK have the process of accomplishing a potential sale has been complicated.
Nonetheless, with the transfer deadline looming, some could be seeing Kurzawa as a possible option for their backline. According to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, Atlético Madrid is the latest club to express interest in Kurzawa.
The French football journalist reports that if Saúl Ñíguez leaves for England, and more specifically, Chelsea, the La Liga champion, could look into the PSG defender and inquire about the feasibility of a possible deal.
It will be interesting to see if the Ligue 1 side can offload Kurzawa, who has no place on Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
