Sergio Ramos put pen to paper on a two-year free transfer deal with Paris Saint-Germain last week.
For Ramos, it was not a difficult decision for him to sign on with PSG, especially as club officials set out to meet the defender’s demands for a two-year contract deal.
In speaking during a video call (via Marca) on Tuesday, Ramos opened up about his decision to sign with PSG after ending his lengthy run with Real Madrid.
“The club showed a lot of desire to sign me,” Ramos said. “I was seduced by the sporting project and the competitiveness. PSG gave me the two years I wanted. The financial aspect was not a priority. When the contacts were a little more serious, I felt the confidence of PSG.”
The veteran defender is currently taking part in PSG’s preseason schedule.
