Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is expected to join the team for its ongoing preseason schedule on Aug. 2, as noted by the Brazilian-based outlet UOL.
Neymar just recently featured with the Brazilian national team in the 2021 Copa America. The PSG star shined over the Copa America tournament as he led the team to a final showdown against Argentina, but in the end, it was La Albiceleste that celebrated a key major international tournament win.
PSG had agreed to provide the likes of Neymar and defender Marquinhos with a 20-day vacation after they took part in the Copa America tournament. Thus, the two are on par to miss PSG’s upcoming 2021 Trophee des Champions Final showdown against Lille OSC, which will come on Aug. 1.
PSG forwards such as Neymar certainly come into the upcoming season with plenty to prove, especially as the team finished second in the final Ligue 1 standings last season.
PSG will kick off its 2021-2022 Ligue 1 campaign with an away match against newly promoted side Troyes AC.
