Paris Saint-Germain sees plenty of change at the squad’s left-back position this summer. Mitchel Bakker has joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen; meanwhile, the capital club would like to offload Layvin Kurzawa this summer.
Should Kurzawa join Bakker on the list of departures, the French giants will need to reinforce left-back as it only leaves Juan Bernat, who’s coming off a severe knee injury, and Abdou Diallo.
As a result, PSG has put AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez at the top of its priority list and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Le Parisien (via Paris Fans) provides further information on the Ligue 1 club’s interest in Hernandez.
The French media outlet reports that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, has been interested in the French international since the start of 2021 and has already made several salary proposals to Hernandez.
Under contract until June 2024, Hernandez is one of the significant figures of AC Milan, who will return to the Champions League this season. Another aspect that could entice the player to consider a PSG offer is the national team aspect. He would like to join his brother Lucas Hernandez and perhaps joining the French giants would allow him to obtain better visibility.
