Neymar Ranks Just Behind the Likes of Messi in One Impressive Copa America Dribbling Stat

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been frustrating defenders over the ongoing 2021 Copa America tournament.

From dribbling past multiple defenders to simply veering into open space, the Brazilian forward continues to have his way against some of the best defenders in the CONMEBOL.

Overall, Neymar currently sports a key 5.2 successful dribbles per game average in this edition of the Copa America, which ranks behind only Argentina forward Lionel Messi (5.5) and Colombia winger Luis Diaz (5.5) for the highest such average.

Neymar has had plenty of standout showings as a dribbler in this tournament, which includes recording five successful dribbles in Brazil’s recent semifinal win against Peru.

For now, Neymar looks ahead to an upcoming major challenge in the final of this tournament against Argentina, where the PSG star will be aiming to win the first major tournament trophy of his career with the Selecao. This would be one impressive accomplishment in his notable international career.
