Mauricio Pochettino was in the rumor mill over the last week regarding his possible future with Paris Saint-Germain as reports linked him for a move back to Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.
However, these moves never materialized as PSG sporting director Leonardo stated that the Argentine tactician is under contract and is preparing for the 2021-22 season.
Despite these rumors going away, Pochettino continues to be a talking point as French football pundit Daniel Riolo revealed on After Foot RMC explained why the manager would’ve preferred to depart.
“Pochettino is very disappointed. He is very disappointed with what he found at the club; he is very disappointed with the organization of the club, with the authority in this club,” Riolo said. “He is very disappointed with the level of many players. He wonders why some have been extended. He worries about Neymar’s level, his physical form quite simply.
“In short, he asks himself a lot of questions, and he wonders if this is not more of a mess than a club that is easy to straighten out. Today, he asks himself a lot of questions, and he is not sure what to do. He does not especially see how the club works, where the authority is. But, in any case, what has been said for several years is not inventions. Everyone does a little what he wants in this club; the players are a little boss, there are problems in the hierarchy.”
