Report: Paredes and Di Maria Slated to Start in Argentina’s World Cup Qualifying Fixture Against Colombia

Before the Argentinian national team kicks off its 2021 Copa America run, the side will have a critical 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Colombia.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielders Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes earned starts in Argentina’s recent fixture against Chile and as noted by TyC Sports, they each are expected to be in the staring 11 against Colombia.

Di Maria is still on the outside looking in as it pertains to being a regular starter for Argentina. The PSG playmaker did not impress in the fixture against Chile and will have one final opportunity to prove his worth in this must-win matchup against Colombia.

Paredes is expected to be a starter for Argentina over the course of its Copa America run. The veteran midfielder will first be looking for a complete performance in this upcoming matchup with Colombia.

Argentina will open up Copa America group stage play with a massive fixture against Chile on June 13.
