Report: Florenzi Has No Plans for an AS Roma Return Next Season

Paris Saint-Germain defender Alessandro Florenzi is not aiming for a return to parent club AS Roma next season, as noted by the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato (via Le10Sport).

Florenzi spent the past year with PSG on a one-season loan stint. The Ligue 1 giants do have an option to buy Florenzi and thus extend his stay at the club. However, recent reports have suggested that PSG will choose not to trigger this option and instead look elsewhere for a new starting right-back.

While Florenzi is set to return to AS Roma this summer, he would prefer a move elsewhere.

Florenzi has been linked with clubs such as Inter Milan for a summer move. It remains to be seen whether the reigning Serie A champions will push to sign the Italian full-back on either a permanent transfer agreement or a one-season loan deal.

Florenzi has two seasons remaining on his current deal with Roma.
