Leandro Paredes provided his take on why Kylian Mbappe is more of a similar player to Cristiano Ronaldo than Lionel Messi.
Mbappe has garnered much support to follow the likes of Ronaldo and Messi to become the next best player in the world.
More so, many have drawn comparisons with Mbappe’s play style to that of the two former Ballon d’Or winners.
Paredes is much a fan of Mbappe’s growing development as a forward and sees that he can become the next top player in the sport.
When it comes to play style, Paredes sees Mbappe as a more similar player to Ronaldo than Messi, which the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder spoke further about to the Argentine-based outlet Ole.
“As a player, I think he goes more on Cristiano’s side, who is more athletic,” Paredes said. “They are incredible physically. I think Ney and Leo (Messi) have different talents than Cristiano and Kylian, but they are physically incredible. And to that, you have to add the quality that they have.”
Mbappe can surely continue to garner more support to be the next best player in the world if he goes on to have standout performances in the Euro 2020 knockout stage.
