Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar began to attract interest from European clubs during his 2011 Copa Libertadores run with Santos.
Neymar guided Santos to a historic Copa Libertadores final win over Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno.
On the 10-year anniversary of his triumph in the second leg of the 2011 Copa Libertadores Final, the Brazilian forward took to Instagram to look back on the historic accomplishment.
“22/06/2011, today marks 10 years of the greatest achievement that I had with Santos,” Neymar said. “All the details of this eternal moment that I have engraved in my memory. ‘To be born, live and in Santos die’ is a pride that not everyone can have.”
Neymar spent five seasons with Santos, where he helped the side win six trophies.
The PSG forward had his way during his run with Santos, which included the notable 43-goal campaign in 2012.
Due to his feat in leading Santos to a Copa Libertadores win, the PSG superstar is well renowned today as one of the greatest players to ever feature with the Brazilian side.
