Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe was picked by many to win the Euro 2020 Player of the Tournament.
For the moment, Mbappe has a ton of ground to cover if he aspires to finish the Euros with this prestigious award.
Mbappe finished off Euro 2020 group stage play with France having failed to score a single goal, as he went scoreless against Germany, Hungary and Portugal.
Over these select fixtures, Mbappe had his fair share of goal-scoring opportunities but simply could not find the back of the net.
Overall, Mbappe has not been in top form as of late with France, as he has scored a mere goal in his last nine appearances in all competitions with Les Bleus.
The PSG forward’s lone goal over this select run of fixtures came during France’s 3-0 international friendly win against Wales earlier this month.
Mbappe will now have another massive test upcoming in France’s Euro 2020 Round of 16 fixture against Switzerland.
