Paris Saint-Germain fought until the end but could not prevail in its UEFA Champions League semifinal tie against Manchester City. The current Premier League leaders came away with a 4-1 tie win to advance to the Champions League final.
PSG had a promising run led by the likes of Neymar as he recorded eight contributions in the competition this season. Still, the side will finish yet another campaign without having reached the Champions League final.
On Thursday via Instagram, Neymar provided for his first comments following this loss to Manchester City. The Brazilian forward wrote:
Difficult feeling to write, still very sad about the defeat but proud of the delivery of the whole team, we gave our best. Unfortunately, our best was not enough, but it remains the learning to evolve.
Bow your head? Only to PRAY AND THANK YOU regardless of the circumstances.
PSG’s Champions League run has come to an end, but there is still plenty to play for this season. PSG still aims to pull off a double-winning campaign, which would include winning Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France tournament. The French powerhouse currently sits at second place in the league table and is in the semifinals of the French cup.
