Paris Saint-Germain has a significant week ahead, which began with their Coupe de France final match against AS Monaco. The capital club would come away with the 2-0 victory to secure its 14th French Cup trophy.
After the victory, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke to PSG TV, discussing the win over Monaco. Also, the club chief stated that he hopes the Coupe de France victory can carry over to the weekend where Lille OSC and the French giants will decide the Ligue 1 title.
“We won our second trophy of the season, and that’s very important to us. The Coupe de France is our specialty now and I hope we will continue on Sunday as well. There is another title to pick up and win,” Al-Khelaifi said.
“But we are very happy for the players, the staff, the coach. We did the right thing. Tonight was the best preparation possible before Sunday. I hope we will win the title as well.”
