Right-back appears to be a position in which Paris Saint-Germain would like to see an upgrade. The capital club has shown interest in various players for this role, with Emerson Royal being the transfer target they’re displaying the most significant interest.
Nonetheless, it seems as though the French giants will bring in a right-back this summer. When it comes to Alessandro Florenzi, PSG has a €9-million option to buy clause in its loan agreement with AS Roma.
However, according to Sport Mediaset (via Le10Sport), Les Parisiens won’t be exercising that option.
The Italian media outlet also adds that Leonardo has informed the player that PSG wouldn’t pick up his option. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old could be an option for AS Roma as they’re on the verge of hiring Maurizio Sarri and would welcome Florenzi back with open arms.
Florenzi has played well for PSG this season, but it seems as though Leonardo wants a long-term solution at right-back.
