Right-back is a position that Paris Saint-Germain will want to upgrade to improve the squad heading into 2021-22. Currently, Alessandro Florenzi and Colin Dagba are atop the depth chart, but one won’t be coming back next season.
According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alessandro Florenzi won’t return to the French capital next season and head back to AS Roma. Les Parisiens have decided not to use the €8-million option to buy clause that came with the loan.
At 30-years-old, perhaps PSG might want to consider a younger profile, or manager Mauricio Pochettino could desire a player with different characteristics.
The capital club has engaged in talks for Tottenham Hotspur Serge Aurier, someone familiar with the French giants and the Argentine tactician. Nonetheless, no offer is yet on the table for the player as they’ll be looking at various right-back targets who fit what Pochettino looks for in a player at that position.
