Ander Herrera has now joined numerous Paris Saint-Germain teammates in the support of wanting Neymar to remain at the club.
Neymar is still yet to sign a new contract extension agreement with PSG. The Brazilian is slated to become a free agent next year, which would then grant him the opportunity to sign with any club on a free transfer deal.
Herrera does not want Neymar to depart from the club anytime soon, as he told Europe 1 (via Le10Sport).
“Now is not the time, and I am not the person to talk about Neymar’s extension,” Herrera said. “But of course, we want Neymar to stay many more seasons.”
Although speculation has mounted as of late that Neymar will soon sign a new deal with PSG, such an agreement has not been made official. It is not yet known whether the forward will end up signing a new deal with the club over the ongoing season or if the two sides plan to wait until the upcoming summer transfer window to continue the contract talks.
In the meantime, Neymar currently is aiming to help PSG reach a second consecutive Champions League final.
