With Marco Verratti out due to injury and Danilo Pereira playing as a center-back, Leandro Paredes had hefty responsibilities in Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg match against Bayern Munich. Still, the Argentine delivered in one of the top showings of the season so far for him.

Against Bayern, Paredes earned a start as a midfielder in PSG’s 4-2-3-1 setup. The Argentine midfielder went on to have a fine outing with 47 passes completed, nine ground duels won, two interceptions, two tackles and one goal-scoring chance created.

This was surely a statement performance from Paredes.
