Video: Pep Guardiola Comments on What Half-Time Adjustments Manchester City Made in Their Victory Over PSG

The first half for Paris Saint-Germain saw the capital club to the lead early on but couldn’t find that second goal from the wonderful start to the fixture. Then in the second half, it was a completely different squad who failed to get more than one shot off.

Manchester City climb back into the match as they scored two goals off of two mental breakdowns that would allow them to secure a 2-1 victory. After the fixture, manager Pep Guardiola spoke to RMC Sport to discuss the tale of two different halves.

“We started well in the first few minutes, but then we conceded a goal. We did not play in the necessary way in this competition in the first period, with relaxation. But it’s not easy against PSG, as soon as you lose the ball Neymar, Di Maria, or Mbappé threaten you,” Guardiola said.

“We were more aggressive then, better with the ball, we were able to move the game and we come back to Manchester with a good result. The half-time speech? In fact, we didn’t change much at half-time, we just said to the guys: ‘Play football, show personality, if we lose we lose, but we have to be ourselves.”
