When Paris Saint-Germain decided to hire Mauricio Pochettino, one of the benefactors of this appointment was Leandro Paredes. Under Thomas Tuchel, the 26-year-old had become an expensive rotational piece.
However, with the Argentine tactician, Paredes has become a vital piece in the capital club alongside Marco Verratti. During an interview with TyC Sports, Paredes discussed a moment in which Pochettino pulled him to the side to discuss his role.
“[Pochettino] has given me a lot since the day he arrived. He took the time to talk to me; he gave me a lot of serenity and confidence, which is the main thing for a player. I think we are moving forward together, both of us, on the right track,” Paredes said.
Paredes will miss the first leg of PSG’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against FC Bayern Munich due to yellow card accumulation.
