Mauro Icardi continues to make a strong case to be Paris Saint-Germain’s set starting center forward for the remainder of the season. For one, the Argentine forward capped off a stunning performance against Angers in the Coupe de France quarterfinal round with a hat-trick goal.
Icardi’s third score of the match was a stunner, as he notched a top-class volley goal to clinch a statement 5-0 win for PSG.
Icardi has now scored 10 goals in all competitions in the calendar year.
PSG became the third team to clinch a spot in this year’s Coupe de France semifinals.
