Video: ‘I Hope Paris Will Win the Champions League’ – Bayern Munich Defender Benjamin Pavard Sends Well Wishes to PSG

Despite finding themselves down 3-2, FC Bayern Munich headed to the Parc des Princes with some confidence. They’re the reigning European champions and had a quality first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bundesliga side did come away with a 1-0 result. Nonetheless, it’s the capital club who’s advancing past the German giants in their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal matchup since PSG holds the away goal tiebreaker.

After the match, Benjamin Pavard spoke to RMC Sport’s microphone, where Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by the defender.

“Of course, we are all very disappointed, especially compared to the first game we should have won. Paris made its match today and had a lot of chances,” Pavard said. “We had some too, but they deserve their qualification. Congratulations to Paris. I hope Paris will win the Champions League. Being French, I hope they can lift the trophy.”
