The Stats Behind Mbappe’s Performance for France Against Bosnia and Herzegovina

The French national team picked up a narrow 1-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in its final 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture of the spring international window.

Kylian Mbappe featured in this matchup as the team’s starting striker alongside Antoine Griezmann.

Overall, Mbappe’s goal-scoring woes continued as he failed to score and did not come away from the match with a shot on target recorded. The French forward finished the match completing 27 passes, winning seven ground duels, logging three dribble attempts and creating a goal-scoring opportunity.

France did not have its way throughout the match as it turned out to be a sluggish showing from Les Bleus. The side finished with a mere two shots on target, which came from Griezmann and Kingsley Coman.

Mbappe now will return to Paris Saint-Germain where multiple key fixtures await the French powerhouse this season, including in the upcoming Ligue 1 clash against Lille OSC and the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich.
