Paris Saint-Germain took care of business over the weekend against Olympique Lyonnais as the capital club tried to take advantage of Lille OSC loss earlier in the day. If the French giants left Lyon, France, with three points, they’d sit atop the Ligue 1 standings.
With the potential to overtake first place, Les Parisiens registered four goals in under 60 minutes. Despite giving up two goals towards the end of the fixture, Lyon couldn’t recover from those conceded strikes.
After the match, Ángel Di María spoke to PSG TV to discuss the 4-2 victory over Lyon.
“We wanted to play well today. We knew that we were playing against a good team, we came to put pressure on them all together, we played good football and we are happy to have played this match well,” Di María said.
