Over the weekend, Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 loss to FC Nantes took a backseat to real-life situations. During the match, capital club forward Ángel Di María learned that he was a victim of a burglary with his wife and two young daughters in their home.
Meanwhile, Marquinhos learned that his parents’ home was broken into; however, unlike Di María’s situation where no violence occurred, in Marquinhos’ case, the burglars used violence as they hit his father to reveal the location of their valuables.
During his press conference with the media, Mauricio Pochettino discussed the issue. Canal Supporters relayed his comments as the Argentine tactician revealed how the families are doing after the incidents.
“Yes, we are a united team. What happened with Marquinhos and Di Maria, the group felt it deeply. It affected everyone. We don’t know what could have happened on Sunday. Maybe we could have won that match, and be in first place in Ligue 1,” Pochettino said.
“Angel is fine, Marqui is fine. Especially families are doing well with the stress that there may have been. The band took it as if it had happened to everyone. But it’s getting better.”
