Video: ‘Our Collective Is Essential’ – Mauricio Pochettino Comments on PSG’s Victory Over Lyon

Paris Saint-Germain carried their momentum from its mid-week Coupe de France victory into their Ligue 1 heavyweight tilt against Olympique Lyonnais. Furthermore, with Lille OSC losing earlier in the day, the match became much more critical as with a win, the capital club would assume first place in Ligue 1.

The French giants would seize this opportunity as they would score four straight goals in under 60 minutes. PSG would leave Lyon, France, with all three points and take sole possession of first place atop the Ligue 1 standings.

After the victory, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke during his press conference to discuss his squad’s performance. Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by the Argentine tactician.

“I don’t want to talk about a particular player after such a positive result as tonight. I don’t like to do that and compare. We have a squad of about thirty players, and each of them is important,” Pochettino said. “Our collective is essential; that’s all that matters. Moise was important and fought for the collective tonight; Mauro was also important when he played.”
