Paris Saint-Germain will be heading to the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux for a mid-week fixture against FC Girondins de Bordeaux. However, the capital club will be departing the French capital without Kylian Mbappé. The 22-year-old is serving a suspension. As a result, they’ll need to do without their superstar forward.
Nonetheless, Bordeaux finds itself in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table in 11th place with 33 points. PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino stated during his press conference, where Canal Supporters relayed his words, that this match is an opportunity to show how great their team is despite the absence of Mbappé.
“He’s one of the most important players in our team; it won’t be easy to replace him,” Pochettino said. “But we have good players in our group, and the collective has the arguments to win matches. Against Bordeaux, we also have the opportunity to show that we are a great team.”
