The Stats Behind Mbappe’s Performance for France Against Ukraine

Kylian Mbappe took on a start in France’s 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Ukraine. The Paris Saint-Germain forward joined a star-studded group in France’s attack for the match, which included Antoine Griezmann.

Mbappe was not at his usual dominant self over the course of the match. The PSG star did not pick up a goal or an assist in the match and failed to get off a shot on target.

Still, Mbappe went on to log 24 passes, complete three dribble attempts, record three ground duels won and create one goal-scoring chance.

Mbappe featured in 77 minutes of the match before being subbed off.

France will have two matches left in the ongoing March international window, which will come in key away fixtures against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Both fixtures should provide Mbappe with a chance to show off his world-class prowess as a forward, which has been much on display for PSG as of late.
