The resurgence of Moise Kean has been a pleasant surprise for Paris Saint-Germain. The Italian forward was seen as merely a depth addition to the club for this season, but as of late, he continues to be a major helping hand to the team thanks to his key goals scored in all competitions.
Kean’s play this season has forced many to speculate on whether he should be a long-term starter for PSG. And if this may end up being the case, it could force Mauro Icardi out of the club after a mere two seasons.
However, PSG may have already come to a resolution on this dilemma.
According to a report from the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato, PSG has made the decision to list Icardi as available for a transfer in an effort to keep Kean. PSG will work to sign Kean to a permanent transfer deal from Everton while also looking for a club to take on the remainder of Icardi’s contract, per the report.
Both players have their list of interested clubs, including Juventus. The reigning Serie A champions have been in the rumor mill for both players, but there have been no reports of the club placing a transfer offer on the table to Everton for Kean or to PSG for Icardi.
The two players have had their top moments this season. Icardi has scored goals in key matches such as in the Trophee des Champions final while Kean bagged a score in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg against Barcelona.
