Report: Pereira Could be Ruled Out from PSG’s Upcoming Fixture Against Lille Due to a Calf Injury

Multiple Paris Saint-Germain players have returned from the March international break with an injury, including Marco Verratti and Danilo Pereira.

For Pereira, he suffered a calf injury after featuring in Portugal’s 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Serbia. Pereira played in all 90 minutes of Portugal’s contest with Serbia but subsequently went on to miss the match against Luxembourg due to the calf injury.

As noted by RMC Sport, Pereira is now expected to undergo further medical examinations with his injury. PSG will then decide whether he is fit enough to make the team’s squad list for the upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Lille OSC.

Pereira is just coming off of the standout league performance against Olympique Lyonnais where he earned a start for the team and scored a goal in the massive win.

Pereira has so far totaled for 17 league appearances this season to go along with formidable 1.2 clearances per game and 0.8 tackles per game averages.
