Report: Neymar Considering Adding an Extra Year in the Contract Extension Deal With PSG

Even after rumors and speculation have ramped up as of late regarding Neymar’s possible new contract extension deal with Paris Saint-Germain, the two sides still have not officially announced the new agreement.

Neymar is currently still sidelined due to the adductor injury that he suffered last month. This injury may have put a halt to the contract talks between the two as one recent report noted that PSG had aspirations to announce the new deal, but the Brazilian’s injury put those plans on pause.

For now, Neymar may be looking to rework the extension agreement with PSG. According to a report from the Italian-based outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, one current roadblock in the extension talks is whether the deal will run until 2025 or if it will go up to 2024 with an option for another season.

Neymar and PSG could always rework the extension deal down the road, but for now, this is the lone aspect of their agreement that is being worked out.

All signs continue to point towards Neymar prolonging his stay at PSG for multiple more seasons.
