Neymar was ruled out from Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 return fixture against Barcelona due to injury. At the least, Neymar made his way to the Parc des Princes to watch the fixture from the stands.

While PSG pulled away with the 5-2 tie win over Barca, Neymar was not necessarily pleased with PSG’s overall performance in the return match. As Isabela Pagliari told Europe 1 (via Le10Sport), Neymar was annoyed with PSG’s showing in the fixture.
More so, PSG’s performance showed that the side really needed Neymar, per the report.
Marco Verratti recently shared similar sentiments regarding PSG’s showing. The Italian midfielder was “disappointed” with how Barca simply had its way in the match coupled with how PSG struggled to assert its will in the match.
Neymar is still out of action due to the adductor injury that he suffered last month. The expectation is that the Brazilian forward will be back in action by the time that the Champions League quarterfinals kick-off, which will be much-needed to PSG.
