PSG Mercato: Paris Plans to Sign Florenzi from AS Roma on a Permanent Transfer Deal

Paris Saint-Germain has made the decision to push to sign Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma on a permanent transfer deal at the end of the season, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Le10Sport).

Florenzi signed on with PSG over the recent summer transfer window on a one-year loan move. The agreement between PSG and Roma came with a purchase option in which the French side could trigger it to keep the Italian fullback at the club.

As noted by the report, PSG plans to sign Florenzi on a permanent deal, which would see the French side and Roma come to terms on a €9 million transfer agreement. The report also adds that Florenzi has convinced PSG officials enough to move forward to keep him at the club.

Florenzi has established himself as the team’s top option over at the right-back option. The Italian defender has so far totaled for three goal contributions over 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
