‘It’s Not Possible to Lose Like That’ – Danilo Pereira on PSG’s Loss to Nantes

Much like last time when Paris Saint-Germain came off their first-leg victory against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, the capital club couldn’t carry that momentum into league play.

After advancing into the Champions League quarterfinals, Les Parisiens had FC Nantes, who is currently battling relegation, waiting for them. Furthermore, with the fixture being at home, it seemed as though the French giants could pick up the three points.

However, that wasn’t the case. PSG scored the match’s first goal in the first half, but Nantes would respond by scoring two goals in the second half. Those two proved to be too much for the capital club to overcome, resulting in a 2-1 loss.

Midfielder Danilo Pereira spoke to Canal Football Club (via Canal Supporters), where he showed frustration for the Jekyll and Hyde performances from PSG.

“It’s not possible to lose like that. We had an excellent first half. In the second half, we put less intensity, and we were no longer attacking. It isn’t easy to analyze. We could be a leader; we didn’t win,” Pereira said.

“The season continues; we still have important matches. We are disappointed; we have to work more to win the other matches.”

The loss is a punch to the gut since a win would’ve put the French giants in first place atop the Ligue 1 standings.

  1. Told you that Pitch isn’t an upgrade from tuchel. Tuchel should’ve stayed.
Potch has no experience with big clubs.
He has now become what koeman is to Barca
