Paris Saint-Germain was more of the aggressor in its UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg fixture against FC Barcelona. For one, PSG ended up scoring a pivotal goal in the first half, and the Ligue 1 side was then quite close to taking the lead off of a Mauro Icardi shot attempt.
On a set-piece play, an unmarked Icardi came flying in for a header attempt. However, his shot attempt went just a bit wide right.
Icardi spent time in Barcelona’s academy during his youth career, so this goal sure would have been one of the more memorable ones of his career.
