Pochettino Has a Good Feeling That Neymar and Mbappe Both Will Sign New Contract Extension Deals

The clock continues to tick on the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain. But if recent comments from the two players indicate anything, it is that they are seriously considering signing on for new contract extension deals.

Kylian Mbappe recently made note that he is pondering whether to commit to a new contract deal with the club. Neymar was more straightforward in regard to his future with PSG as he made a public declaration that he wants to stay on with the team in the long-term.

For PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, he has a good general feeling that in the end, both players will come to terms with the club on contract extension deals.

Pochettino spoke to RMC Sport’s “Top of the Foot” show on this gut feeling prediction.

“I believe that both will stay, and will stay a lot of time at PSG,” Pochettino said. “And I have no doubts; I am very optimistic. The club is working to succeed in keeping them with us.

“It’s a feeling. But it’s also what I see; Ney and Kylian are happy. They are having fun here, and I also believe that the club is working to keep them.”

Pochettino also made note of Mbappe’s recent comments regarding his contract situation with the club. The Argentine did not want to add to Mbappe’s statements but sees that they were quite optimistic comments.

“I’m not here to comment on Kylian’s sentences, but it was very positive,” Pochettino said.

The talk within PSG continues to be the contract dilemmas regarding the team’s two star forwards.
