Neymar Gave Props to Mbappe and Paredes for Their Standout Champions League Performances Against Barcelona

When the draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 was unveiled, many were looking forward to the clash between Neymar’s Paris Saint-Germain and Lionel Messi’s FC Barcelona. However, Neymar suffered an adductor injury last week that kept him out of the first leg, thus prolonging the wait for fans to see the two star forwards go head-to-head.

For the first leg, Neymar watched the match from home and, as seen by his activity on Twitter, the Brazilian sure was thrilled to see his teammates pick up such a convincing win.

In particular, Neymar gave a shoutout to two of his teammates. On Twitter, Neymar sent out his appreciation to Kylian Mbappe for his top-class hat-trick performance.

The Brazilian forward wrote: “Mbappe playing really well … a hat-trick for my boy.”

Neymar also sent out a congratulatory tweet to PSG and singled out Leandro Paredes. The Argentine picked up an assist en route to one of his more complete performances of the season.

Neymar wrote: “What a great game from the team, everyone was great. Paredes is a monster. Cracking player.”

Neymar also sent out an earlier tweet in which he laughed at the fact that Barcelona was awarded a questionable penalty call. He wound up deleting the tweet later on.

PSG sure hopes to have Neymar back for the return leg.
