Neymar Discusses the Relationship He Has With Fellow Paris SG Superstar Kylian Mbappé

Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, and since then, they’ve become inseparable.

When Neymar arrived at FC Barcelona in 2013, Lionel Messi took him under his wing to show him the ropes of life as a superstar in European football. It seems as though the Brazil international is paying it forward as he’s helped Mbappé handle the expectations that come with being a superstar.

During his interview on TF1, the 28-year-old touched on the relationship he was with the France international, where Neymar stated that he views it as a little and big brother bond.

“I have a sibling relationship with Kylian. I’m the oldest. We really like to play together. I want to get the best out of him. He’s a golden boy. I call him Golden Boy because he’s really golden,” Neymar said.

“He has a huge heart. As a football player, everyone knows what he is worth. But even off the pitch, he’s amazing. He is smiling, happy, he likes to have fun. We look a lot alike. And we have to be happy to be 100-percent.”

In another question, Neymar made it known that he wants to continue this venture in the French capital alongside Mbappé. Whether that happens or not lies on the 22-year-old extending his contract.

Regardless, Neymar’s ability to take Mbappé under his wing displays the leadership qualities that have come out recently. Despite not having the armband, there’s no denying the Brazilian is a clubhouse leader.
