Former French International Pires Advises Mbappe to Stay at PSG for One More Season Before Moving to Real Madrid

Former French international Robert Pires has called for Kylian Mbappe to remain at Paris Saint-Germain for one more season before leaving for Real Madrid.

Mbappe remains in a significant dilemma regarding his footballing career. PSG aims to keep Mbappe for his prime years, but as with such a star talent like the forward, many clubs have been keeping a close watch on the situation between the two sides.

For one, Real Madrid has been regularly linked with Mbappe for what could unfold as one of the biggest blockbuster transfer moves in years.

Still, Pires believes that now is not the time for Mbappe to leave PSG. Instead, Pires is advising (via Radio Marca) Mbappe to continue to develop at PSG before departing for Real Madrid.

“People do not have to forget that Mbappé is young, 22 years old,” Pires said. “The most important thing is to play at least one more year at PSG before going to Real Madrid. The pressure in Madrid is not the same, he has yet to learn and at PSG he doesn’t have that pressure.”

For now, Mbappe is keen on helping PSG reach another UEFA Champions League final. But after this season, his final decision may come, whether he elects to stay with PSG or leave for another club.
