Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti earned a start for the team against AS Saint-Etienne. The Italian midfielder began the game in the midfield in the team’s 4-3-3 formation, but he was often seen roaming across the pitch at will.
Verratti had one of the more formidable performances of his season. Not only did he pick up the key assist to forward Moise Kean in the first half, but he wound up being an integral player in the team’s midfield setup.

It is always key for a player like Verratti to record an assist, but it must be of note that he contributed to both maintaining and winning possession. The eight ground duels won and two interceptions completed will certainly catch the interest of opponents.
With Verratti now healthy, he should continue to be a vital force in the team’s midfield and one who teammates can rely on both with and without the ball.
