Following Paris Saint-Germain’s much-needed Ligue 1 win against Brest, new manager Mauricio Pochettino now looks ahead to the upcoming Trophee des Champions final against Olympique de Marseille.
Much of the attention has turned towards Neymar’s potential availability for this contest. The Brazilian forward has missed multiple fixtures since suffering the left ankle injury during the late stages of the recent Olympique Lyonnais fixture.
Le Parisien notes that Neymar is currently ruled as “50-50” for the Trophee des Champions final. If he is able to take part in the team’s training session on Monday, this could signal a positive trend towards him possibly playing against Marseille. But for now, he remains day-to-day with the injury.
Both Danilo Pereira (hamstring) and Leandro Paredes (hip) are expected to be available against Marseille. The two may likely not start but should provide Pochettino with key depth reinforcements off of the bench.
PSG will be aiming to win its first trophy of the season in this upcoming final.
