Report: PSG Prepared to Offer Neymar a Contract Extension Deal

The upcoming summer transfer window is slated to be one of the more significant ones for Paris Saint-Germain in recent years. Of course, there continues to be major speculation regarding the future of Neymar. If the Brazilian does not sign a new contract extension deal by the conclusion of the summer window, he will play next season on the final year of his contract.

PSG sure does not want to see him become a free agent and is planning on locking up the star forward to a new deal to avoid this dilemma. A report from Telefoot notes that PSG is prepared to offer the forward what will be its first contract extension deal to him.

The two sides have been in regular contact regarding a new contract as of late.

As the report also notes, the club is quite optimistic that Neymar will agree to sign a new deal, which would prolong his stay and end any speculation regarding a transfer move elsewhere.

The winter transfer window has already opened, which is set to be a period where PSG may have an aim at signing players for depth. But the club could also check off a major task on its agenda with the signing of Neymar to a blockbuster contract extension deal.
