Report: Pochettino and Leonardo Set to Hold Meeting to Go Over Plans for Winter Transfer Window

The winter transfer window is off and running with several clubs across the continent already plotting moves for potential permanent transfer or loan moves. For Paris Saint-Germain, the club also has an aim at reinforcing the squad. This matter is set to be discussed soon in a meeting between new PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino and sporting director Leonardo, according to a report from RMC Sport.

The report notes that the club does not have grand plans to make blockbuster signings. Instead, the club’s board wants to scour the market and remain conservative with its transfer approach.

For PSG, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli and Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen are on its radar. Both players were key under Pochettino’s run at Tottenham. But for Alli, this target is deemed to be “excessive” at the moment.

More so, the club is also interested in offloading players as well. PSG would consider coming to terms on a transfer deal with a club for Julian Draxler. The German midfielder is slated to be a free agent at the end of the season.

It remains to be seen whether PSG will go all-in on potential deals for Alli and Eriksen or whether the board has other players in mind.
