Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos was a surprise substitution during the team’s recent Ligue 1 fixture against Montpellier. RMC Sport noted that the Brazilian defender had dealt with slight muscle discomfort, but he did not come away from the fixture with any serious injury.
Le Parisien now notes that Marquinhos is expected to be available for PSG’s upcoming league fixture against Lorient.
The Brazilian did not suffer any sort of notable injury during the recent match against Montpellier. The call to sub Marquinhos off the pitch was done as a simple precaution.
Marquinhos did go on to make an appearance at the Camp de Loges on Monday. The versatile PSG talent has now progressed well from his slight muscle scare and should be a regular in the team’s training sessions over the remainder of the week.
Marquinhos has been arguably one of the more reliable talents in the five matches under Pochettino. The Argentine manager surely needs his presence in the backline for the rest of the season.
