Report: Juventus, Inter Milan, and Atlético Madrid Are Monitoring PSG Forward’s Contract Situation

With the winter transfer window open, players with expiring contracts in June can now talk with other clubs and agree to a pre-contract for the 2021-22 season. One name on that Paris Saint-Germain squad that can engage in these talks is Ángel Di María.

France Football (via Culture PSG) reports that three clubs are currently monitoring the situation between Di María and the capital club.

Juventus FC, Inter Milan, and Atlético Madrid all have their eyes on the 32-year-old should he decide to move on from his time with PSG. All three of those clubs can also afford to meet Di María’s salary demands, which would be in the neighborhood of €13-million annually.

The French media outlet states that an extension for Di María is not a foregone conclusion. Under former manager Thomas Tuchel, the forward was a vital part of his system. It remains a mystery whether new manager Mauricio Pochettino feels the same way.

It is why last week, Le Parisien reported that El Fideo wanted to wait to see his role with Pochettino before committing to a contract extension.
