Report: Bernat Close to a Contract Extension With PSG; Di María to Wait on Role With Pochettino Before Extending

As the winter transfer window is open, players with contracts expiring in June can talk to teams and sign pre-contracts for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

Paris Saint-Germain will have a couple of players whose deals will expire in a few months. Ángel Di María, Julian Draxler, and Juan Bernat have their contracts up in June, and Le Parisien revealed information on how the extension talks for all three players.

Of the three players, Bernat seems to be the one that will put pen to paper and is close to signing an extension, according to the French media outlet. Di María wants to extend his stay with Les Parisiens; however, the 32-year-old will wait to see his role with new manager Mauricio Pochettino before signing a new contract.

Finally, Draxler of the three will be leaving once his contract is up in June as PSG is not expected to offer the Germany international an extension as they’re looking to reduce their wage bill.
