PSG Mercato: Barcelona Linked With a Possible Move for Bernat

FC Barcelona is being linked with a possible free transfer move for current Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish defender is one talent who has been on Barcelona’s radar for quite some time, per the report. The club currently has the PSG left-back as one of many players on its transfer list.

The report mentions the possibility of Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo departing from the club over the upcoming summer window. Thus, Bernat may remain on Barcelona’s radar for a possible move if it needs a backup for regular starter Jordi Alba.

Bernat has been sidelined for months due to an ACL injury that he suffered earlier this season. The former Valencia defender is still rehabbing and recovering from the injury, but there is still a possibility that he may return to action with the team later this season.

Bernat was a regular for PSG last season thanks to his key attacking contributions in all competitions for the team. At the moment, he is still slated to become a free agent at the end of the season.
