Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Old Trafford to not only face Manchester United FC, but they’ll also be seeing a familiar face in Edinson Cavani. El Matador didn’t make the trip to Paris on matchday one of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Cavani is coming off scoring two goals, including the game-winner against Southampton, and is coming in good form to face his former club. The Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær spoke to the media about Cavani and various other topics.

“He’s ready to play, and of course, it’s special for him to play against PSG, his former club where he is the top scorer,” Solskjær said. “He learned a lesson (after his controversial Instagram story). It could affect him, but he will have to put that aside when the match starts. The best players can put these things aside. His running stats put him atop the Premier League which, at 33, says a lot about him.”

Finally, the United manager also hopes to win over PSG to punch their ticket to the Champions League knockout stages.

“The sooner you qualify, the better. We want to win the group. We approach the game our way, with the intention of attacking and defending well against a high-level team. We want to win the game and the group,” Solskjær said.
