Video: ‘If We Play Our Football, Anything Is Possible’ – Dubois Is Hopeful That Lyon Can Leap Frog PSG in the Standings

Paris Saint-Germain will host Olympique Lyonnais at the Parc des Princes. Two points separate the capital club and Lyon. As a result, a win is crucial for both sides, with PSG trying to remain in first place and Les Gones looking to leapfrog them in the standings.

Ahead of the fixture, Lyon right-back Léo Dubois spoke about the task that awaits them in the French capital during a press conference. One of the first questions that Dubois answered is his thoughts on the match overall.

“It will be a high-level Champions League match. It will be interesting. We are aware that all matches are important to achieve our goals. It’s a big game, but it also brings in three points like the others. A championship is long. We arrive with a lot of humility because it is never easy there. We haven’t had a lot of favorable results there in recent years,”

“If we play our football, anything is possible. Is there will be a willingness of both teams to mark the occasion. I didn’t see their Champions League game this week but saw that their two leading attacking players had scored. We will defend with our qualities and believe in ourselves because we can figure very well in this match.”

Dubois then touched on their opponent this weekend, PSG.

“We will play a very large team with players who will want to beat us given the current standings. These lost matches are behind them. It’s going to be up to us to try to win there,” Dubois said.

“I hope we will reverse the trend. Lyon close to PSG in terms of the game? My main focus is on our results. We have shown great things in recent matches, but these are our characteristics.”
