Video: ‘If They Had Scored a Goal, the Game Might Have Been Different’ – Herrera on the Luck PSG Had Against Manchester United

On matchday five of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Paris Saint-Germain achieved a long-awaited victory against Manchester United. Now PSG depends on itself to qualify for the Round of 16. L

Ander Herrera came onto the pitch at Old Trafford, a place he’s familiar with, as a substitute for Leandro Paredes. The 31-year-old played 25 minutes for the capital club, where he had 24 touches and contributed one key pass.

Herrera took to the microphone with RMC Sport to discuss the 3-1 victory over The Red Devils.

“I think we started the game well. We controlled the first 25 minutes very well. We could have scored more goals in this period, but we didn’t. Then we lost control a bit, and they got the goal with a bit of luck. At the start of the second half, we suffered clear chances,” Herrera said.

“If they had scored a goal, the game might have been different. Afterward, we have a lot of quality with players who can kill the match with Neymar Kylian, Rafinha when he entered, and Bakker, who made a fantastic entry.”
